A Brief Introduction:

My name is Dan Goodbourn. I have been involved in the sport of triathlon for 20 years. I have worked for British Triathlon, raced as an Age Grouper, am a Senior Race Referee and also the longest standing Age Group/Elite Team Bike Mechanic. I have attended over 35 World, European and Commonwealth events all over the world as Team Bike Mechanic since 1997. I now run my own Mobile Bike Business.

A key part of my Mobile Business is the teaching of cycle maintenance and servicing.

My professional qualifications for this are as follows:
I was asked to write a training manual for a large retail chain to enable them to train cycle mechanics. I wrote the manual and liaised with a representative of the Bicycle Association (BA). The BA sanctioned my manual to be of the required standard needed to train cycle mechanics. They also and probably more importantly accredited me with the qualification to deliver that training.

I have been GB team mechanic since 1997 and have attended over 40 championship races, including World Short and Long Course, both Triathlon and Dualthlon and was the home nations Mechanic for the 2002 Manchester Commonwealth Games around both as Age Group and Elite mechanic.
