As with the one day course I will come to you with a full complement of tools and equipment.

I would require 5 people to attend over a 2 day period, ideally a weekend, and would need to be prepared to dedicate 4-5 hrs per day. The day would be fully hands on but unlike the one day course the attendee will be working individually, although still fully supported by myself.

The days would involve a full strip down of their own bike including bottom bracket/chainset removal, chain and sprocket removal and front and rear mech removal and fitting. (The only task not included is the removal of headset cups as this requires very specialised tools which no-one except fully equipped workshops would keep).

Some tasks would be completed more than once to ensure complete understanding of the task (this would involve the attendees swapping bikes to ensure understanding of a range of bikes and components was achieved rather than just completing the task on their own bike).

On the afternoon of the second day the attendees would be asked to complete specific tasks on their bikes (which I would rig to replicate problems ie brakes needing attention, gear problems etc) which I would assess to ensure the attendees came away from the course with a good level of ability and confidence.

The attendees will also be asked to demonstrate one job to the others on the day to show that they have the confidence to back up their knowledge.

The aim of the course is not only to improve the knowledge and ability of the individual but to instil real confidence to enable them to fully maintain and service their own bikes.

As with the one day course you would need to supply a suitable venue large enough for five work stands and all the tools and equipment.

The cost for the course would be £90 per head.

Compared to other courses available this is great value and you need to bear in mind I travel to you. All other courses available involve you travelling to participate.
